“KYMA” Restaurant in Roslyn, NY: A new wave in eating…the right way!

A new restaurant opened a few weeks ago in Roslyn, NY with a fresh Greek taste as its signature. It is called KYMA and is located in 1446 Old Northern Blvd. The atmosphere and the aura of the decor is taking the patrons on a magical trip from the beaches of Hampton, to the South of France and of course to the Greek Islands.

It is a new wave of eating right, according to the Mediterranean way of living. The chef Chris Kletsidis is offering all the traditional Greek dishes but also brings the aroma of sea and the essence of the new of the Greek cuisine.

    KYMA is the first undertaking of the well known entrepreneur and philanthropist Mike Angeliades into the food business. He has recruited Reno Christou for watching over the well educated and acquainted about the dishes staff. This endeavor also bears the signature of Yannis Xatiris, an expert in the new wave of Greek restaurants.

    The grand opening took place in a beautiful spring evening with many friends and family joining the owners in wishing them good luck.

    KYMA is now having an additional outside space where guests can have a drink or dine under the stars.

    Fr. Dennis Strouzas of Port Jefferson and Fr. Alex Karloutsos a closed friend of Mr. Angeliades officiated the inauguration ceremony of Haghiasmos.

    A host of local elected officials, celebrities and businessmen showed up for the occasion, among them Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos and the singer Stelios Dionysiou. Mike Angeliades and his wife Libby were excellent hosts to a night who felt like a tribute to food, family and friendship!
